The excavating depth for paving stone preparation depends on its use. For pedestrian traffic, dig down 15-20cm (6-8") while vehicular traffic requires a depth of 30cm (12").

Landscape Retail Centre:
Over the years, Hilgersom has grown to include a landscape retail centre for DIY customers as well as a spruce tree nursery.
If you prefer to do the landscaping yourself, we can provide the expert advice and products necessary to get the job done right. Opening in the spring of 2009, Hilgersom Inc. has expanded to include a landscape retail centre located in South Lethbridge. Customers will find a large assortment of paving stone and segmental retaining wall products and accessories as well as bulk aggregates and mulches. Visit our location to see our current product selection and check back often for new products to come.
Hilgersom also grows some of the highest quality Colorado Blue Spruce trees in Southern Alberta. Since all of our trees (Picea pungens f. glauca) are grown southeast of Coaldale, AB., they are fully hardy for the prairie landscape. Available to both the retail and wholesale public, we can dig the trees for you or you can come into our nursery and dig them with your own equipment.
