Hilgersom, Inc. has been building creative, European-inspired landscapes throughout Lethbridge and southern Alberta for more than 30 years.

After graduating from the Olds College Ornamental Horticulture program, Jerry Hilgersom built on the solid foundation Gerry Sr. instilled in his landscaping company: the value of quality products and craftsmanship above everything else.

Our specialty is hardscape construction. We use paving stone, retaining wall blocks and natural stone to create stunning, functional and easy-to-maintain landscapes. You’ll enjoy our vast hardscaping experience in our high-calibre patios, courtyards, terraced gardens, driveways and more.

Hilgersom’s landscape expertise doesn’t stop at blocks and rocks. We build water-wise xeriscapes and rock gardens to suit the southern Alberta climate. We use creativity and experience to create lasting landscapes you can grow into.

Hilgersom also builds custom pergolas, arbours, raised planters, garden sheds, seating and more with the finest quality red and white cedar.

We are proud to be the first landscaping company in southern Alberta to bring the modern, industrial look of gabions to local landscapes. In simple terms, gabions are wire baskets filled with rock or similar materials to form maintenance-free retaining walls, fences, custom outdoor furniture and just about anything! Although Europeans have used gabions for centuries, they’ve become a recent trend in contemporary landscapes.

We also do irrigation and lighting installation!
