Do you love working outdoors, staying active, and seeing the result of a hard day's work?

The Hilgersom Landscape Centre team needs a flexible Landscape & Garden Crew member for the remainder of the 2026 landscaping season!

The Landscape & Garden Crew Member supports both Hilgersom’s Landscape Installation Crew and Garden Maintenance Crew, so no two days are the same. One day, you may help build a patio or install a retaining wall; the next, you could be tackling seasonal yard tasks, like pruning shrubs or preparing gardens for fall.

Responsibilities:

Landscape Installation

  • Assisting with landscape construction projects

  • Installing paving stones, retaining walls, decorative rock, mulch, and other landscape materials

  • Operating hand tools and assisting with equipment

  • Working alongside an experienced installation crew

Garden Maintenance

  • Performing seasonal garden and landscape cleanups

  • Pruning shrubs and small trees

  • Weeding, edging, mulching, and maintaining planting beds

  • Assisting with new plant installations and fall landscape preparation

  • Helping maintain Landscape Centre display gardens

Crew Member qualities:

  • Enjoys working outdoors in all kinds of weather

  • Likes variety and isn't afraid to get their hands dirty

  • Is reliable, hardworking, and has a positive attitude

  • Works well independently and as part of a team

  • Has a valid Class 5 driver's license (required)

  • Gardening or landscape construction experience is an asset, but we're happy to train the right person
